Bulgaria's Filip Videnov, whose EuroBasket 2009 qualifying campaign was cut short after he broke a bone in his hand in a game against Finland on September 10, returned to action on Thursday for CB Granada.

Videnov played almost eight minutes on Thursday and made his only shot - a three-pointer - but Granada slipped to an 81-80 defeat at Real Madrid.

Spain national team big man Felipe Reyes had 22 points and 13 rebounds to lead Real Madrid as they bounced back from a 17-point defeat to Unicaja in their first ACB game.

Videnov's biggest game for Bulgaria this summer in Division A, Group A, came in their 81-80 success against Italy on August 30 in Sofia.

He had a game-high 21 points, seven rebounds, three assists and two steals.

Bulgaria ended up finishing 4-4 and claimed a direct spot in the EuroBasket as the third-best second-place team, edging out Group C's second-place team, France (3-3), thanks to a better goal coefficient.

After getting injured against Finland, the 28-year-old guard flew to Granada and was operated on. He missed Granada's season-opening 83-79 triumph over Bruesa GBC last weekend. Mirza Teletovic is picking up where he left off at the end of last season with Spanish champions Tau Ceramica.

The Bosnia and Herzegovina international, the ACB's Revelation of the Year for the 2007-08 campaign, had 14 points and five rebounds on Thursday as Tau won 80-67 over Ricoh Manresa.

Croatia center Stanko Barac, who has returned to Tau this season after last year's loan spell at Pamesa Valencia, impressed with 11 points and 10 rebounds in the win.

Center Guillem Rubio had 19 points and seven rebounds in defeat for Manresa.

In Thursday's other game, Unicaja Malaga (2-0) rolled to a 91-60 success at Cajasol (0-2)

Warren Carter had 19 points for Cajasol, who will attempt to qualify for the EuroCup next month.

In Wednesday's ACB action, Jaka Lakovic fell short of his dream of playing at the Beijing Games with Slovenia but he is putting that disappointment behind him with some solid displays for Spanish giants Regal Barcelona.

The playmaker scored 18 points to lead Barca to a 78-58 win at CB Murcia on Wednesday - the Catalans' second victory.

Lakovic and Slovenia played at the FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament in July but were beaten in the knockout stage by Puerto Rico.

DKV Joventut discovered on Tuesday they would not have 17-year-old point guard sensation Ricky Rubio for several weeks while he recovers from wrist surgery, but they managed to scrape an 83-81 triumph over Estudiantes.

Estu lost for the second straight game, despite their 2004 Spanish Olympian Iker Iturbe drilling six of eight shots from three-point range on his way to 20 points.

Demond Mallet had 20 points for DKV, who were helped inside by British international Pops Mensah-Bonsu. He scored nine and pulled down seven rebounds.

Pamesa Valencia are 2-0 after prevailing 81-75 at home over Fuenlabrada.

CAI Zaragoza bounced back from their defeat to Pamesa by winning at Kalise Gran Canaria 76-68.

Joel Freeland, the Great Britain international, played well for Gran Canaria by scoring 10 points and pulling down five boards.
